She has produced several television programs and starred in the documentary series Deadly Arts (shown on FitTV in the U.S.), in which she travels around the globe to different countries exploring the various indigenous martial arts. In the series, she is often given exclusive access to martial arts masters and their training schools.
Josette holds black belts in both Shotokan Karate and Aikido.

National Geographic channel has made a documentary about Aikido where Josette Normandeau tries to understand more about the traditions, the etiquette, and the spirituality, that are deeply connected to the marital arts. By visiting Japan to meet the masters of Aikido and training with them, Josette Normandeau demonstrates how difficult is to be a proficient martial artist and, even harder, to become a master.
